The learner is introduced to the various microorganism, the optimal environmental conditions to enhance microbial activity and the four -stage process of anaerobic digestion that leads to the production of biogas. The learner is then introduced to the various methods and techniques of conditioning and upgrading biogas for local use or for exporting to the gas grid.
This module assumes little or no prior knowledge of the subject, but is equally effective as a refresher for plant operators/supervisors/engineers or for those wishing to prepare for further education or learning in this field.
